Our Newest Addition!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Carson David Patrick born on January 21, 2009 at 1:59 pm. Weighing in at 9 lbs 6 oz and 19 and a half inches long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He's just perfect!

And his big brother Trey just LOVES him.

Mama Jo started to have contradictions at 2:o0 AM on Tuesday morning, not knowing the pains she was feeling were actually labor pains. So she continued on her night sleep and into the next morning. That morning her and Trey made a stop by Grandma Mimi's house for a short visit and at that point the pains were more frequent and stronger. Still not quite convinced - she still made a quick call to her Doctor. At that point the Doctor instructed her to meet him at the hospital immediately. She left Trey with Grandma Mimi and headed to meet Daddy at the house to get her things and headed straight to the hospital.

There Daddy and Mama Jo waited. . . . when she arrived at the hospital she was already diliated to 4 cm. She was officially in labor. It took about 2 hours to get into OR.

Team Patrick had decided on Monday that Mama Jo would have a c-section scheduled for Friday due to the Baby's size (from the sono it said Baby was weighing 9 lbs 14 oz). Apprently Baby didn't like that date. :)

The c-section was performed. And the newest addition was born into the world at 1:59. Both Mama Jo and Carson did great!

It's been a wonderful week since their first day in the hospital and both of them are doing excellent. Carson has been sleeping through the night with 4 hour stints - most nights having to be awoke to feed. :) He is definitely a true Patrick - he's latching on like a pro! Mama Jo is feeling great and is on her way to a quick recovery.

Trey has welcomed Carson into the family with flying colors. He shares his trains - by putting a train into the bassinet by his feet. He gives Carson lots & lots of kisses. And is a great help to Mama Jo too.

My Daddy built me - my very own handrail! We call it the Nuggy Handrail! It's so awesome - I can get up and down the stairs all by myself with the help of my handrail and I don't have to crawl any more. I just love it.

DOGGY NUGS!

What little boy doesn't love his dogs! For a very long time since Trey was able to crawl around we have been convinced that he thought he was part dog. Even to this day he will copy what the dogs do. He loves his two dogs and enjoys their company the most.
